Cardinal Strategies opens new West Texas Regional Office
Cardinal Strategies recently opened a new West Texas Regional Office in Lubbock, TX that will focus on serving engineering clients across the Texas Panhandle and South Plains. Leading the new office is Ben McWhorter, PE, CFM.
Ben, a Lubbock native, is an alumnus of Texas Tech University and is excited to return to his roots.
Ben McWhorter is a senior engineer and project manager responsible for projects in both the Dallas-Fort Worth region and the West Texas Region. He has over 9 years of experience working in stormwater management and land development in the public and private sector across Texas.
He has extensive experience as a project engineer on a wide variety of drainage master plans and flood studies for riverine, closed system, and playa lake watersheds. Ben has completed numerous hydrologic and hydraulic studies using varying software types such HEC-1, HEC-2, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (1D and 2D), ASAPP, and various versions of SWMM software including both 1D and 2D applications. He is also very experienced in working with local municipalities and state and federal agencies such as TCEQ, FEMA, USACE, and various others. Ben has helped to navigate numerous projects through the process of obtaining local and FEMA approval for many different types of Letters of Map Change (LOMCs).
