Experienced environmental educator joins Cardinal’s Environmental Division

Cardinal Strategies Environmental Division is happy to announce Sonny Johns, REP, CPESC, as the newest member of the team. Sonny brings over 25 years of experience in environmental management education to Cardinal.

“Sonny is a great addition to the environmental team,” said Environmental Services Manager Amy Humphries, CESSWI. “His years of stormwater experience and vast regulatory knowledge will be extremely impactful to Cardinal’s clients.”

Sonny’s many professional certifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Certified Professional in Erosion & Sediment Control (CPESC)
  • Certified Inspector of Sediment & Erosion Control (CISEC)
  • Certified Erosion, Sediment & Stormwater Inspector (CESSWI)
  • Certified Environmental Stormwater Compliance Professional (CESCP)\
  • Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP), Board of Certified Safety Professionals

“I am truly excited to be joining the great team at Cardinal Strategies and look forward to many years of success,” said Sonny.

In his role at Cardinal, Sonny will be involved in business development and the improvement of Cardinal’s inspector training program and more.

About Sonny

Sonny is originally from New Orleans, LA. His career started in the oil and gas industry before transitioning to the environmental field. He holds a B.S. in Environmental Management and an M.S. in Occupational Safety & Health - Environmental Management both from Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, AL. In his free time, Sonny likes to watch a good television show or movie. He also enjoys the occasional short hike and loves to cook.
