What is a site investigation?

A site visit is performed to evaluate/investigate the area of concern and to then develop the steps and procedures required to implement a recommended remediation procedure.

The purpose of a site investigation is to get to the root cause of an issue and create a long-term solution.

Some people don’t know exactly what their problem is; we look for symptoms and clues.

Ex: If a retaining wall is failing, you don’t want to just redo the wall when there could be other factors as to why it’s failing.

You could replace the wall and if the underlying issues are not fixed the new wall will eventually fail also.

Some clients believe they have one problem and may pay for the wrong fix when it could be a completely different issue.
