National Intern Day

On this National Intern Day, we would like to celebrate our two summer interns, Mayra and Matthew!

A little bit about them both:

Mayra Marquez grew up in El Paso, TX, and moved to Lubbock, TX where she is currently a senior at Texas Tech University, majoring in Civil Engineering. It was at an early stage of her education that Mayra developed an interest in engineering and ultimately decided to pursue hydrology and hydraulics in college. As an intern at Cardinal Strategies, Mayra hopes to improve her technical skills as well as her critical and problem thinking skills to become a proficient stormwater engineer in the near future. In her spare time, Mayra enjoys going on long runs and baking for friends and family.

Matthew is a Senior Ocean Engineering student at Texas A&M University. Outside of class, he spent time as an undergraduate researcher in a Computational Fluid Dynamics lab and as an Aggie Transition Camps counselor. Matthew joins Cardinal in Wylie to expand his knowledge of Stormwater Engineering and H&H modeling. In his free time, he enjoys working out, traveling, country dancing, and watching college football.

We have had a blast working with both of you thus far.

We can’t wait to see where the future leads you!
